Hey now, We had such a great time in Tucson and Tempe we just couldn't fade away into cyberland with out telling everyone thank you for a real good time, Top Dead Center, Chongo Dave, Banjo Pete and Jen Durkin, thank you for making' sweet music with Xtra Ticket a real highlight to share the love with y'all. Xtra Ticket Tucson/Tempe Garcia Memorial 09
Hey Now, Xtra Ticket is gearing up for two Jerry Memorial shows this year Friday night in Tucson @ The HUT with Tucson favorites Top Dead Center....and yes there will be a Joint Jam at the end of the night, that will melt your minds. Then when you wake up Saturday and get your heads all back together you can breeze on in to The Sail Inn located in Tempe AZ for an Acoustic and Electric performance. We also have special guest that will be dropping in for the Jam...........We look forward to seeing all the smiling faces.Until then, Viva Garcia. Hey folks our little break is coming to an end, and were kicking it off by filling in for the Noodles on 2 Sundays 7-26-09 and 8-2-09 from 4pm -8pm, we are looking forward to some fun afternoons, complete with the musical spankings we all so richly deserve. Also Abear will have the Gila Ticket monster sticker available....this week. and don't forget Jerry Memorial shows are right around the corner...

California, I'll be knocking on the golden door
We are a 9 days away from our Tour D'California. It will be fun building sand castles, playing volleyball, and touring Universal Studios, maybe winning the showcase showdown on the Price is Right! We start on Wednesday night 6/10 at the Goat Head in Mesa (which isn't CA), that's the night we plan to shanghai our road crew. On Thurday night we rock San Diego at Winston's in Ocean Beach. Then Friday is beach day! Saturday during the day we play with Cubensis in Hermosa Beach at the legendary Lighthouse Cafe! Then slowly make our way home. Easy! Come along! The weather is good and the living is easy.
Road Trip! Come cool your heels in the Pacific!!! We are going to California!

Get out of the door and light out and look all around.
OK Jerry Week is Officially On!
First Stop on Jerry's Birthday! We will be jamming an acoustic set as well as a JGB set! Then On Saturday night we "truck up" to Coyote Joe's on Prescott for a show recreation so bring you Deadbase if you are a cheater.
Then a sweet afternoon of daylight Dead at Pinion Pines in Prescott, on Sunday (the Noodles are off so you need Sunday AZ Dead, carpool and check out this cool place. Monday may have a surprise show for you jet jet AZ heads (still trying to confirm it). Friday the 7th will be a Joint Jam with our Tucson brothers Top Dead Center. Then we wrap up Jerry Week at the Goat Head Saloon on Saturday with the Jerry Memorial!

One year ago today we lost our dear friend Vince Welnick. Words cannot describe the incredible impact this man and his music had on each of our lives. Let's all take a moment and give thanks to the universe for having graced us with his presence. You are with us forever, Vince.

Rest in Peace Brother Ken
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our friend and close family member Ken Sasso has passed away. The details and news of arrangements will surely follow, but what is important is we remember Ken for all he was and all he did for our scene.
Ken's contribution was selfless and vastly appreciated by all the Arizona Family. It would be impossible to account for all he did for all of us. He was probably the biggest fan of the Noodles and he was their original webmaster. Ken recorded and archived many of Noodles shows as well as many of our shows. He wrote for Jambands.com and other music webzines. In Ken's professional life he designed and maintained websites for Tie Dye Mike, Nita's, Sail Inn, The Loft and others. At just about any show Ken attended, he tried to make them better. Sasso usually showed up at shows early - setting up light shows, his recording equipment, running the door and helping the bands or vendors set up and at the end of the night he would help load out. He was always humble, generous, respectful and kind. He would lend a hand with out being asked.
Ken was an integral part of almost every show in Tempe. Not only for the Noodles and Xtra Ticket, but for many, many bands.
Ken was a good friend.
He will be missed, and his passing is a shock, and his absence will hard on us for a long time to come.

Happy Birthday Vince
his time of year will be bittersweet for our group. Usually this was when Vince would come down and we'd celebrate his Birthday. But this year we can't do that since Vince is no longer with us. And just thinking about all that is sad, but we remember the good times too. So if your reading this Vinnie, we love you and we miss you. Everyone else, we hope you can remember Vince in your special way, and we will see you soon.
